About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lockout Tagout Specialist to join our team at ANDRITZ Hydro Canada. As a key member of our site team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel on our construction sites in Ontario, Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage the Lockout Tagout (LOTO) Program for our projects, ensuring compliance with Company standards, customer requirements, and Government regulations.
  • Support the Site Manager in LOTO management and implementation for our workers, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customer representatives and site installation/commissioning teams.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in LOTO/PTW/HSE management on a construction site or heavy industries.
  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma (DEC) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Provincial (Ontario) Construction Safety legislation.
  • Experience in dealing with unionized environments.
  • Strong communication skills (spoken & written) at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership skills, Team Player following Company common Goals.
  • Proven Auditor and Trainer skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills (root cause analysis expertise), sound judgment, initiative & creativity.
  • Willingness to travel and flexible with work schedule.
