Anesthesiology Specialist

Island Health is seeking a full-time or part-time locum Anesthesiologist to join a busy anesthesia practice at the North Island Hospital Campbell River & District Campus.

The North Island Hospital Campbell River & District Campus is a state-of-the-art hospital with 95 beds, serving a referral population of 60,000. The hospital offers a range of surgical services, including fellowship-trained orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, dental, and sedation service for endoscopy.

Anesthesia services are provided 24/7, with some surgical call services shared with neighboring centers in Comox and Courtenay. After-hours work may involve ICU and ER for trauma or acute airway management.

Affiliation with the University of British Columbia's Island Medical Program provides opportunities for teaching medical students and residents.
