Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse, Eating Disorders Program

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in the Eating Disorders Program. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients with eating disorders, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in patient and family education, including providing information on treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the evaluation of patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
  • Up to 6 months of experience in general nursing practice preferred.
  • Experience working with eating disorders an asset.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA) and documentation standards (CNO).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience working with electronic medical records.
