Job Summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Service Technician - Diesel Equipment to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel equipment at our open pit mining site in Northern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel equipment, including haul trucks, front end loaders, and hydraulic face shovels
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to complete repairs
  • Coach customers on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced technicians and/or supervisor
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets and timesheets

Requirements

  • Apprentice-trained power generation and/or engine technician (preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Minimum level of workshop-related experience required
  • Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with Cummins products
