Economic Game Designer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Economic Game Designer to implement game economies, balancing progression and rewards systems. The ideal candidate will be highly creative, working closely with the production team to define monetization strategies and implementation methods.

  • Define monetization strategies with the development team, designing an economic model that adds value to players;
  • Balance virtual products, player progression, currencies, sinks, and sources;
  • Create design documents targeting improved acquisition, retention, and monetization.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in economic design or equivalent, with expertise in Games as a Service gaming, including the latest innovations and trends;
  • Strong ability to balance complex game economic systems and familiarity with Agile production;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel simulations and predictive calculations, as well as analytical competencies and data modeling;
  • Continuous analysis of current strategies and the ability to propose new ways to optimize/maximize game revenue;
  • Knowledge of analytics software, such as Tableau, Mixpanel, Swrve, or equivalents;
  • Able to analyze data analytics and adjust game concepts and economy balances to maximize retention, monetization, and virality;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and average salaries for similar positions in Montreal.
