Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. As a key member of our design and development team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, participating in field surveys and inspections, and preparing construction specifications and estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Field Surveys and Inspections: Participate in field surveys and inspections to gather data and information for project development.
  • Construction Specifications and Estimates: Prepare construction specifications and estimates, including material costs and timelines.
  • Project Support: Provide technical assistance to project managers and engineers, ensuring smooth project execution.
Support for Diversity and Inclusion
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities to employees from diverse backgrounds, including persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for diverse groups.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
