Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer to join our team at Brightshores, specializing in Echocardiography and Electrodiagnostic Services.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong foundation in diagnostic imaging sonography with a focus on echocardiography and electrodiagnostic services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and possess a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality echocardiography and electrodiagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technical developments, advancements, and guidelines in the field of diagnostic imaging sonography.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for process improvement and quality assurance within the department.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimize clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in education and training initiatives to maintain and enhance skills and competencies.

Requirements:

  • 2-year community college or undergraduate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Current registration or eligibility with Sonography Canada and ARDMS.
  • Member in good standing with Canadian Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of CSDMS and ARDMS.
  • Technical experience with certification in cardiac ultrasound.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Brightshores' 'CARE' Behaviours and 'LEAD' Competencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adult and Pediatric echocardiography experience.
  • Sterile technique proficiency.

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
