We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing exceptional service to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an Oncology/Outpatient Chemotherapy adult setting or Acute Care environment.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by physicians, and provide education to patients and their families on treatment options and side effects.
- Participate in health promotion activities and provide education on healthy lifestyle choices to patients and their families.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Clinical experience in an Oncology/Outpatient Chemotherapy adult setting or 3 years Acute Care nursing experience.
- British Columbia Cancer Agency Chemotherapy Certification or equivalent Chemotherapy certification from a recognized Cancer Agency is desirable.

- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service.
