Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at Unique Home Improvements & Reno Corp. As a Construction Trades Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction team by performing various tasks related to construction materials, scaffolding, and building structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the supervision of experienced construction professionals.
  • Participate in demolishing buildings and cleaning up the site.
  • Help clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Assist in cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants at construction sites.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with the construction team.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 35-40 hour workweek. The work language is English, and the work environment is a construction site.
