Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified French Language Educator to join our team at the York Catholic District School Board. As a French Language Educator, you will be responsible for teaching French as a Second Language to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French as a Second Language to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
Requirements
  • Part 1 and/or other French qualifications as recorded on Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
  • High degree of oral and written proficiency in the French language
  • Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Trained in the Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures) FSL
  • Part 2 or Specialist
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
