Culinary Team Member

To succeed as a Chef De Partie with the John Lewis Partnership, you will work collaboratively within the Catering team to plan, produce, and deliver exceptional hotel food offerings. Your primary objective will be to contribute to the efficient and profitable running of your department, aligning with business, personal, and team objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing menus to high standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise the department as required, providing guidance to team members, including Commis Chefs.
- Monitor stock levels and minimize waste, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to achieve sales, reputation, and profit targets.
Requirements:
- Relevant professional chef qualifications, such as City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery or equivalent.
- Demonstrate creativity, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Evidence of experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
