Job Title: IT Systems Administrator - Windows/Exchange

Job Summary:

S I Systems is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support major system development and administration, and provide technical support with Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, and PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Development and Administration: Ensure IT infrastructure and operating systems are functioning efficiently and effectively, responsible for major system development and implementation to daily network administration and technical support.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical advice and support to over 3,000 operating units and offices across Canada.
  • Task Prioritization and Execution: Prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a challenging and fast-paced work environment.
  • IT System Installation and Maintenance: Install, support, and maintain IT systems.
  • System Implementation and Support: Implement and support a wide variety of IT systems across Canada and the US.
  • Server Replacement and Cutover: Perform end of lease server replacements, including staging hardware, installing site-specific applications, and coordinating cutovers while minimizing downtime for the business.
  • System Change Planning and Communication: Plan, communicate, and document system changes.
  • Company Standards and Best Practices: Ensure Company standards and industry best practices are followed and improved.
  • Tier 2 Escalation Point: Function as a Tier 2 escalation point, provide IT support for in-house and remote users across Canada.
  • Request/Problem-Solving Process: Record, track, and document the request/problem-solving process and actions taken.
  • Environment Alerts: Review actionable environment alerts to maintain existing infrastructure.
  • Team Efforts: Engage in team efforts for server OS upgrades, vulnerability management, application upgrades/brand new builds.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of Systems Administrator experience.
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, MS Exchange, MS IIS 7.5 and 8.5, and Office 365, Active Directory administration (GPOs, understanding of replication, etc.), PowerShell – Strong Scripting, VMware ESXi/vSphere and Hyper-V.
