About the Job

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating programs that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. Your primary objective will be to promote their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and cultural well-being.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will develop and implement comprehensive plans for recreational activities, outings and events that foster social interaction, stimulation and enjoyment among our residents.
  • You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care services and coordinate with other departments to address resident needs.
  • You will assess resident needs and preferences to tailor programs and services accordingly.
  • You will maintain accurate records and documentation, including program guides, participation tracking, monthly statistics and regular care plan updates.
Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, gerontology or other related fields. You will also require experience working with seniors, training on GPA, PIECES and U FIRST, and knowledge of RAI-MDS – AIS certification.

A second language, CPR and First Aid qualifications, a Vulnerable Sector Check, TB testing, and proof of all required vaccines are also necessary.
