Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field and Infusion Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for administering medications and supporting the administration of IV infusion treatments in home and specialty clinic settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications (IM, SC, and IV as applicable) in home and specialty clinic settings
  • Support and monitor the administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting
  • Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments and chart and report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation
  • Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies and procedures
  • Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information
  • Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other duties as assigned
  • Participate regularly in team web-based meetings and training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards
  • Participate in specialized client-related trainings as required
  • Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs
  • Required to travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs
  • Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and Safety Act
  • Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within specified timeframes
  • Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations, regulatory bodies, and company policies and procedures
  • Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar
  • May be required to be on standby/on call to meet service needs

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Experience with IV therapy is an asset
  • Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field
  • Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate
  • Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting
  • ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets
  • Knowledge of cell phone for making and confirming appointments/assignments and fax machines
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team
  • Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary
