Biotechnology Research Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated Biotechnology Research Professional to join our team at Zymeworks, a leading clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. As a key member of our research team, you will play a critical role in designing, planning, and analyzing in vivo immuno-oncology efficacy and PK/PD experiments.
About the RoleThis full-time position is based out of our Vancouver location and offers a competitive salary range of $86,000 - $120,000 per year, plus bonus and equity opportunities. Responsibilities- Design, plan, and coordinate in vivo immuno-oncology efficacy and PK/PD experiments with project team members.
- Manage studies with internal counterparts and external contract research organizations.
- Support animal research associates with mouse handling, injections, tumor measurements, blood and tissue collection, and health monitoring.
- Perform administrative tasks related to mouse study protocols, regulatory documentation, and data analysis.
- Organize and perform pharmacodynamic evaluations using flow cytometry, histology, and MSD assays.
- PhD in immunology, pharmacology, cancer biology, or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with rodents, or a BSc with 5 years of related experience.
- Expertise in running xenograft, syngeneic, or humanized mouse tumor models, understanding of immune cell function in treatment and disease, and proficiency in animal handling, dosing, and sample collection.
- Demonstrated understanding of in vivo cancer models, therapeutic mechanisms of action, relationship of PK to therapeutic activity, and experience with antibody-based therapeutics.
- Experience with immune cell isolation and flow cytometry, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multifaceted studies in a fast-paced environment.
