Overview

The role of a Microsoft Solutions Specialist at Connection is to provide expert guidance and support to account managers and customers on Microsoft program, product, and pricing needs. This includes supporting multiple volume license agreement types, including Open Value, CSP/NCE, and MPSA, with a specialization in Enterprise Agreements. The ideal candidate will have advanced user skills for Microsoft Suite, consultative experience with Microsoft Online Services, and knowledge of Microsoft's lifecycle and renewals process.

This position requires strong negotiation skills, ability to secure best purchasing agreements for customers and the company, and working knowledge of sales strategies. The successful candidate will be able to analyze customer needs and convert them into Microsoft solutions, as well as adapt to shifting priorities and draw conclusions from data.

Key responsibilities include acting as a dedicated consultative resource for sales, sales leadership, and customers; presenting on customer calls with all stakeholders; delivering industry-based insights to customers; and assessing quote solutions. Additionally, this role involves managing contract lifecycles, producing cost analysis, and creating milestone touchpoints.

An Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification or ability to complete within 12 months of hire is required. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is also necessary.
