Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our team at Dufferin Aggregates - A CRH Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our crushing and screening plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a team environment with other co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve production goals.
  • Complete cleanup assignments using shovels and/or small, heavy equipment to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in maintenance inspections and activities using appropriate procedures to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Operate crushing and screening plant as trained and directed to meet production targets.
  • Report any malfunctions or safety risks to supervisor immediately to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Experience in construction, mining, or operating heavy machinery is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum Ontario high school diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
  • Reliability - Showing up to work on time and being dependable.
  • Be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends when required.
  • Physical ability to walk around the plant and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic maintenance/mechanical aptitude, welding, and fitting is preferred but not required.
  • Dependability - follow instructions and respond to direction. Good communication skills are required.
  • Working outdoors/indoors under varied temperatures and weather conditions.
