About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Construction Helper to join our team at Shean Concrete and Construction Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load, unload, and transport construction materials as required.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the construction site by erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mixing and Pouring: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as needed.
  • Assisting in Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Site Cleanup: Remove rubble and other debris from the construction site.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the field of construction is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Equipment and Machinery: The candidate must be familiar with and able to operate various pieces of equipment and machinery, including screeds, circular saws, concrete saws, chippers, jackhammers, drills, trampers, compactors, and sledgehammers.
  • Transportation: The candidate must be willing to travel regularly and have a valid driver's license.

  • Work Environment: The candidate will be working outdoors in a variety of locations, including rural areas and construction sites.
