As a Movement Therapist, you will play a crucial role in promoting clients' recovery and improvement of their physical abilities. This position requires a collaborative and dynamic individual who can work effectively with a team of clinicians to provide exceptional care.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to conduct biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments, design and implement graded exercise programs, and work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
  • Designing, implementing, and supervising graded exercise, work conditioning, and/or work hardening programs
  • Recording functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
  • Working cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
  • Conducting group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
  • Completing functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge
  • Ensuring return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

Requirements:
  • Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program
  • 2+ years of experience considered an asset
  • Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required
