Job Summary

This role involves the leadership and management of a pipefitting crew, overseeing the installation and maintenance of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing crews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various applications.
  • Manage and supervise a team of pipefitters, ensuring efficient completion of projects and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, Isometrics, and P&IDs to plan and execute pipe installations accurately.
  • Prepare and assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
  • Perform hydrotesting, assembly, and installation of pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe to specified dimensions.
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.
Requirements
  • Journeyperson certificate from the relevant provincial or federal authority.
  • Proven experience in managing crews in the field.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors and able to adapt to varying environmental conditions. This position is based out of our Whitecourt location, with candidates local to Whitecourt preferred but those local to Edmonton also considered.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Strike Group offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.
