Job Title: Technology Security Analyst

Halton Region is seeking a highly skilled Technology Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Security team, you will be responsible for implementing and operating security controls to protect our information systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and investigate security alerts from our managed security service provider to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and procedures through regular audits and reviews.
  • Administer and review security infrastructure, including network security solutions, host-based security solutions, and configuration policy controls.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analysis of critical IT systems and applications.
  • Develop and provide clear documentation for security projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized institution.
  • At least two years of IT security experience.
  • Strong knowledge of network, operating system, cloud, and directory services, including IAM and PAM/PIM.
  • Experience with common security solutions and Microsoft-based cloud and on-premises directories.
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Achieved and maintains a recognized security certification, such as SSCP, CCSP, or OSCP.
  • Experience with network-based security solutions, host and network-based diagnostics, and application security.
  • Familiarity with OT technology and its security.
Working Conditions:
  • Current Criminal Records Check obtained within the past six months.
