Job Title: Senior Account Manager, Municipal Solutions

Food Cycle Science Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager to drive the growth and expansion of our food waste diversion programs within municipalities across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement tailored food waste diversion programs using FoodCycler technology for current municipal partners.
  2. Utilize Feasibility Studies and insights from previous Pilot Programs to inform program development and ensure feasibility and scalability.
  3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within municipal governments across Canada.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned municipal partners, understanding their needs and aligning solutions to municipal waste management goals.
  5. Conduct in-depth market research to identify new opportunities for program expansion within existing and new municipal markets.
  6. Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to effectively penetrate municipal sectors and achieve program adoption goals.
  7. Employ a consultative sales approach to understand municipal partners' challenges and objectives related to waste management.
  8. Present compelling proposals and solutions that address specific municipal requirements and deliver sustainable outcomes.
  9. Coordinate cross-functional efforts internally to ensure seamless program implementation and successful project delivery.
  10. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgetary constraints while meeting stakeholder expectations.
  11. Demonstrate a deep understanding of waste management technologies, sustainability practices, and environmental impact.
  12. Advocate for sustainable solutions and promote FoodCycler technology as a pivotal component of municipal waste reduction strategies.
  13. Track and analyze program performance metrics, providing regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders and municipal partners.
  14. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
  • Post-secondary education (Diploma/degree) in Business, Engineering, Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered as well.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant work experience. This can include (but is not limited to) experience in account management, sales, consulting, solid waste and recycling, project management, environmental services, public relations, or municipal government.
  • Exceptional adaptability in communication, adept at tailoring their sales approach to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines, and time management techniques.
  • Ability to think on their feet, seamlessly transitioning between formal and informal communication styles as appropriate to effectively engage with municipal stakeholders and build meaningful relationships.
  • A continuous learner that supports best practices and continuous improvement.
  • High level of personal integrity and authenticity.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates confidence, and a consistent decisive, yet a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively through your strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and ability to predict issues that may need resolution/follow-up actions and the judgment/courage/business acumen to try new things without fear of failure.
  • Creative mindset and a strong attention to detail.
  • A passion for sustainability, clean technology, and the overall mission to change the way the world thinks about food waste.
  • A valid passport and driver's license.
