About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SRE Engineer to join our Mainframe Source Code & Deployments team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining the stability and performance of our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to ensure smooth operations with minimal disruptions.
  • Create and manage comprehensive documentation to ensure precision, currency, and thoroughness.
  • Implement new complex technical solutions, including DevOps, within an enterprise environment.
  • Provide out-of-hours support and flexible, independent working.
  • Lead the technical roadmap and strategic direction of our Mainframe Software Configuration Management and Deployment tooling.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Mainframe (IBM), zOS, MVS, TSO, REXX, JCL, ISPF, and diverse technical experience.
  • Strong understanding of effective engineering practices and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of COBOL, Assembler, CICS, DB2, DB2 SQL, Unix System Services (zOS), Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and experience implementing Mainframe solutions.
