Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Procurement Specialist to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our contract engineering department, you will be responsible for the procurement of electronic parts for our space and defense products.

Your primary focus will be on planning and coordinating the procurement of electronic/electrical parts for SDS projects. You will also be responsible for monitoring supplier orders, incoming goods, quality, and internal warehouse management.

In addition, you will optimize procurement strategy through Manufacturing BOMs, support buyers in their negotiation and decision-making strategy for part equivalents, and manage communications with project managers regarding material availability.

As a trusted member of our team, you will analyze the supplier market and build relationships with them. You will also ensure internal traceability of components where necessary and actively participate in project planning and estimating tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the procurement of electronic/electrical parts for SDS projects
  • Monitor supplier orders, incoming goods, quality, and internal warehouse management
  • Optimize procurement strategy through Manufacturing BOMs
  • Support buyers in their negotiation and decision-making strategy for part equivalents
  • Manage communications with project managers regarding material availability
  • Analyze the supplier market and build relationships with them
  • Ensure internal traceability of components where necessary
  • Actively participate in project planning and estimating tasks

Requirements:

  • Technical college diploma with at least a first significant experience in electronic parts procurement
  • Good teamwork skills, rigor, initiative, and determination
  • Good knowledge of the Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of Windchill, JIRA, and SAP (an asset)
  • Knowledge of electronic card manufacturing (an asset)
