The Banquet Captain is a key role within the Food & Beverage operations at Coast Hotels, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to banquet and catering guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of food, beverage, meeting, and audio visual services for events

• Provide superior customer service through the completion of routine duties and tasks, including taking and serving food and beverage orders

• Effectively communicate goals and expectations to team members and ensure a motivating and engaging work environment

• Foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the team

• Ensure the safety and security of the property, team members, and guests

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Industry-specific certifications such as FOODSAFE and Serving It Right/Pro-Serve

• Hepatitis A vaccination recommended

• Cash handling experience an asset

• Professional attitude and appearance

• Ability to lead others, and strong time management and organizational skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

• Ability to multi-task and high attention to detail
