Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Overnight Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Bass Pro Shops. As a key member of our retail store operations, you will be responsible for providing daily direction to team members working the overnight shift, ensuring the smooth execution of sales floor replenishment, merchandise presentation, seasonal resets, inventory management, and price change execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delegate tasks and work assignments to team members, providing clear and concise direction and follow-up to ensure proper execution.
  • Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures and processes by team members, providing training and guidance when needed.
  • Maintain visual presentation standards, including in-store signage, merchandise directives, and planograms, to ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
  • Ensure nightly replenishment of sales floor from backstock inventory, as well as new replenishment from distribution centers and direct vendor deliveries.
  • Support inventory management in partnership with the Inventory Control team, completing on-demand counts, empty peg scanning, pick requests, display integrities, and other tasks during off-peak business hours.
  • Support the Assistant General Manager with coordination of special events, maintenance of pricing and UPC integrity, determining proper assortments, accuracy of inventory, and display, tagging, signing, and pricing of advertised items.
  • Support the Assistant General Manager in carrying out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, measuring and evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Assist the Assistant General Manager and site Human Resources in staffing the department with service-oriented associates, participating in interviewing and making recommendations for selection, coordinating training, and preparing weekly work schedules.
Requirements
  • Preferred degree: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Years of experience: 2-4 years in a retail environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts.
  • Ability to read and analyze reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, team members, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups.
  • Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, team members, customers, and internal cross-functional partners.
