Job Summary:

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Cost Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost control services to support the delivery of complex design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed target budgets and revised budgets for assigned projects, ensuring accurate and timely implementation.
  • Prepare and analyze variance reports, identifying areas for cost savings and proposing mitigation plans in collaboration with budget owners and project management teams.
  • Lead the process of generating earned values and comparing them with actual costs, ensuring accurate month-over-month reporting and identifying potential overruns.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential losses.
  • Provide inputs to JV's monthly reports and support the project management team in decision-making processes.
  • Support the Commercial/Claims team in providing actual and forecasted costs, and carry out an active role in troubleshooting project costs-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related project controls experience in complex design/construction heavy civil projects.
  • Basic engineering knowledge/understanding.
  • Proficient PC skills, including proficiency in Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite, superior Excel skills, JDE, and Primavera (P6).
