Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
  • Select and install the appropriate insulation materials and methods to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to the required shape and dimensions.
  • Fabricate and install insulation systems, including vapor barriers and protective coverings.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Participate in the preparation of safe work practices and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks and labor duties as required on the jobsite.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Journeyperson Ticket or equivalent experience.
  • Proof of hours for non-ticketed Insulation Specialists.
  • Experience working with cellular glass insulation and cold work.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Team player with strong people skills.

Energy Safety Canada Required Tickets:

  • ESC H2S Alive or Awareness.
  • CSTS 2020.
  • ESC Confined Space.
  • ESC Fall Protection.
  • AWP (asset).

Working Conditions:

  • Working at heights.
  • Working in confined spaces.
  • Working in and around noise and dust.
  • Working in hot and cold weather conditions.
  • Must be clean-shaven.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance.
  • Stand or walk for long periods.
  • Use arms and hands to reach, handle, or manipulate objects.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
