Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest to foster creativity and learning.
  • Order necessary supplies and equipment to maintain a well-equipped childcare setting.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators or supervisors to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Encourage children to express themselves creatively through various mediums, including art, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
  • Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Maintenance of accurate immunization records, tuberculosis test results, and vulnerable sector checks.
  • Ambulatory and physically demanding work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingualism (English) an asset.
