Framing Team Lead Job Description

At Michaels, we're looking for a skilled Framing Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you'll be responsible for leading and coaching a team of framers to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Coach the Framing Team: Develop and coach the team's selling behaviors, and lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to our customers.
  • Drive Custom Framing Sales: Assist customers in creating a memorable framing solution for their art, and drive custom framing sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Manage Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Company programs, and ensure execution of Company policies and standards.
  • Manage Inventory and Shrink: Manage and execute inventory management processes, and manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Participate in Performance Management: Participate in Performance Management activities, including interviewing, on-boarding, coaching, observing, and training of new team members.
  • Other Duties: Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes, follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs, and ensure a safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required for this role.
  • Previous Custom Framing Experience: Previous custom framing experience is preferred, as well as retail management experience and experience leading a sales team.
  • Physical Requirements: Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching are required for this role, as well as the ability to move throughout the store and remain standing for long periods of time.
Work Environment:

The work environment for this role is a public retail store setting, with all public areas being climate controlled. Some stock rooms may not be climate controlled, and some outdoor work may be required if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks.
