Compelling Opportunity for Pharmacy Assistants

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Lawtons Pharm in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. As a valued member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations.

About the Role:
  • Process customer transactions (receive and release prescription requests) efficiently and accurately.
  • Receiving in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries with attention to detail.
  • Understanding and promoting various pharmacy programs to enhance patient engagement.
  • Filing prescriptions, ordering, and replenishing supplies, and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Drug order creation and receiving, compounding, and pill pack assembly with precision.
  • Scheduling professional clinical services to meet patient needs.
  • Behind the counter management, cycle counts, narcotic counts, stock returns, tall man lettering, manual third parties.
  • Assisting the pharmacist with dispensary tasks as permitted by scope.
Requirements:
  • PREFERRED: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
