Job Overview

Cypress Mountain, a renowned winter sports destination, is seeking highly skilled and physically fit individuals to join our Snowmaking Team. As a Snowmaker Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the resort's slopes are perfectly groomed for skiers and snowboarders.

About the Role

This full-time seasonal position requires you to work outdoors in all weather conditions, operating machinery, and maintaining equipment to deliver exceptional snow quality. You will be part of a dynamic team that works collaboratively under the direction of Snowmaking Supervisors and Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibly place and set up snowmaking hardware
  • Follow proper pump station and water management procedures
  • Adjust equipment, repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating
  • Interface with other departments to maintain effective communication during mountain operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Intermediate ski or board ability required
  • Previous snowcat experience an asset
  • Competent snowmobile ability required
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Appropriate footwear required
