We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Finance, Corporate Services to join our team at Uhnresearch.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned financial leader to oversee the delivery of comprehensive financial services in a large and complex healthcare environment.

  • The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the Corporate Services unit, fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving to support the organization's mission.
  • They will be responsible for maintaining appropriate controls and ensuring the integrity of financial management, while staying compliant with applicable legal, governmental, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving continuous process improvements and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial issues to diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide overall leadership and direction to the Corporate Services unit, delivering a full spectrum of financial support.
  2. Maintain stewardship of all organizational resources and financial systems, ensuring appropriate controls and integrity of financial management.
  3. Recommend and develop strategy, innovation, and best practices for back office finance business.
  4. Benchmark and evaluate finance operations to ensure controls, processes, and tools are among the best practice/cutting edge.
Requirements
  • A university degree in Business (or related discipline) from a recognized and accredited educational institution.
  • A postgraduate degree in business management or healthcare administration would be an asset.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressively senior financial management experience in a complex organization providing broad knowledge of controllership, financial reporting, procurement, revenue, billings, and analysis functions.
