Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Rock Bottom Underpinning. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials for residential and commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment

As a carpenter at Rock Bottom Underpinning, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 to 44 hours of work per week
