At EHS Support, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Scientific Consultant to join our team. As a Scientific Consultant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the development of human health risk assessments under federal, state, and international regulatory programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of human health risk assessments under federal, state, and international regulatory programs.
- Develop site-specific conceptual exposure models to characterize constituent fate and transport dynamics and identify human health receptors and complete exposure pathways.
- Prepare toxicological and environmental dossiers using OECD and REACH guidance and databases compatible with Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) and Department of the Environment and Energy (DoEE) requirements.
- Obtain, organize, review, and synthesize environmental data in an organized and concise manner.
- Analyze environmental data in support of investigation objectives and defined data quality objectives (DQOs) using Microsoft Excel, geographic information systems (GIS), or other programmatic software.
- Engage in technical writing to report findings and interpretations of data analysis to support investigation objectives.
- Communicate the findings of data analyses and interpretation to both lay and technical audiences.
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience in consulting, with focus in human health risk assessment.
- Commitment to a behavior-based safety culture.
- Ability to support the implementation of field investigations of groundwater, drinking water, soil gas, indoor air, surface water, sediment, pore water, soil, and biological communities.
- Experience analyzing environmental data, including robust understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and data quality.
