About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Communication Leader to join our team as a Digital Communications Strategist.

As a key member of our People team, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering strategic communication campaigns, projects and change initiatives.

Your primary goal will be to advance organizational strategic priorities while strengthening our department's and organization's reputation with both internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communications Consultation: Provide consultation, planning and evaluation for senior leaders to proactively achieve strategic priorities, manage reputation risks, support change and transition initiatives, and positively impact the employee experience.
  • Communications Planning: Plan, coordinate and execute effective communications, change management and engagement strategies and techniques designed to meet needs of target audiences.
  • Liaison with Partners: Liaise with partners and experts at all levels of the organization to develop a broad understanding of important issues, challenges and strategic directions being undertaken, provide advice and develop related communications.
  • Business Methods: Apply solid knowledge of best practice business methods to help advance corporate culture, executive communications, executive engagement with frontline staff, corporate business practices and online and in-person communications.
  • Multimedia Presentations: Use advanced skills and experience in journalistic and business writing, as well as the skill to develop compelling written and multimedia presentations to target and engage a variety of external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism supplemented with industry-recognized accreditation.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent related experience including development, implementation and evaluation of operational and strategic communications or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Skills: Broad knowledge of human resources practices and project and change management experience is a significant asset.
