Nurse Practitioner

RhynoCare is seeking a skilled Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents.
The ideal candidate will have strong nursing skills, a compassionate demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
- Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective, compassionate, and supportive manner when dealing with others.
- Awareness of each resident's need for self-respect and privacy, and the right to share in decisions about their care.
- Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests, and a Clean Criminal Record check.
- Vaccination proof and adherence to COVID-19 prevention protocols.
