Job SummaryWe are seeking a Director of Fundraising and Communications to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, management, and oversight of fundraising, donor relations, funding applications, and communications plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and mentoring to Fund Development & Communications staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Create and implement the development plan in line with strategic goals.
- Build and strengthen relationships with corporations to develop corporate sponsorship and other development opportunities.
- Oversee government and foundation fund development process, including managing relationships, contracts, and reporting processes.
- Work closely with the Executive Director on new funding opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in fundraising, donor relations, and communications, ideally in a not-for-profit.
- Experience in managing websites and social media platforms for a business or non-profit organization.
- Proficiency in donor database software and digital communication tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in developing and delivering presentations.
- Strong working knowledge and analysis of the issues impacting women in the DTES, including gender-based violence, mental health, substance use, and housing.
- All applicants must be legally permitted to work in Canada and have a current Work Permit and Social Insurance Number.
Salary ranges from $97,000 to $113,000 per annum, with full benefits and a pension.
