Key responsibilities include:

* Identifying, assessing, and delivering high-quality, impactful external communications initiatives and campaigns, working with third parties as needed.
* Supporting the executive team and segment directors on external communications opportunities, including media interviews and speaking engagements.
* Contributing to media and social media listening and external communications reporting, tracking external trends and insights, and success metrics.

Requirements:

* A minimum of five years of experience as an external communications advisor or similar role, either in-house or with an agency.
* A suitable tertiary qualification in a communications discipline or other business-related field.
* Exceptional written and oral communications skills, excellent media relations skills, and a strong storytelling lens.
* Ability to spot, create, and exploit a news angle effectively.
* Demonstrable ability to translate technical and complex information into engaging and impactful written, visual, and multimedia content.
* In-depth experience in media relations, including building relationships with journalists, pitching, creating, and distributing media content.
