Job Title: Database Systems Developer

We are seeking a skilled Database Systems Developer to join our team at Acuity Technology Solutions Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing database systems to support our organization's IT infrastructure. This includes collecting data to identify areas for improvement, developing strategic blueprints for database deployment, and maintaining computer databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within our IT infrastructure
  • Develop and implement strategic blueprints for database deployment
  • Maintain and optimize computer databases
  • Document customer requirements and reporting needs
  • Provide advice on database management tools and setup IT infrastructure for applications to access databases
  • Test data models and database management systems
  • Design and develop databases to meet business needs
  • Operate database management systems to analyze data
  • Develop and implement data administration policies and standards
  • Research and document data requirements and access rules
  • Develop policies and procedures for network access and usage and data backup and recovery
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in database development and administration
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems and software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 30-hour workweek. The language of work is English. We are willing to relocate and cover relocation costs are not covered by the employer.
