As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying needs to sourcing, contract negotiation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Lifecycle Management: Identify, source, and procure direct parts and components, ensuring timely delivery and optimal costs.
- Sourcing Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize sourcing activities for new programs, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
- Cost Reduction and Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to reduce costs and improve processes, leveraging tools like Kaizen, VA/VE, and LSS.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 certification standards.
- Tooling and Capital Procurement: Manage the procurement of tooling and capital equipment, ensuring optimal costs and timely delivery.
Requirements:
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or Materials Management.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a strategic purchasing role, with experience in the steel and automotive sectors.
- Skills: Advanced Excel, Visio, Power BI, and Power Automate skills, with the ability to apply quantitative analytical skills for problem-solving.
