About the Opportunity

  • Develop and prepare formwork, shoring, and scaffolding, and related engineering drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, and other data.
  • Complete general arrangement, assembly, and fabrication drawings for all formwork/falsework items.
  • Complete engineering drawing and plans for all shoring/reshoring systems to be used during the construction.
  • Help and work closely with building information models (BIM) team to provide digital representations of physical and functional aspects of temporary structures, including formwork, falsework, and scaffolding.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches.
  • Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets.
  • Review and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Post-secondary education in an Engineering or Civil discipline. P.Eng or EIT is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in formwork drafting.
  • Ability to operate computer-aided design (AutoCAD – 2D and 3D) software and manual drafting.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several activities of drafting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from design engineers.
  • Time management skills to complete work within the required timeframe.
  • Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving.
