Job Opportunity: First Officer, DH8

Sunwest Aviation Ltd. is a leading Western Canadian operator of jet and turboprop charter aircraft, offering a diverse fleet and excellent opportunities for advancement.

This position reports to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for performing duties and responsibilities, including:

  • Operating the specified aircraft in accordance with company requirements and safety regulations.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures as per Transport Canada and CARs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot and/or Deputy Chief Pilot.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A valid Commercial Pilot License and Airline Transport Pilot License or IATRA exams written.
  • A PPC (Pilot Proficiency Check) and currency for an airplane in the responsible aircraft grouping.
  • 1,000 hours Total Time, 100 hours PIC, and 500 hours Multi-engine.
  • Excellent customer service, decision making, and problem solving abilities.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adherence to the safety accountabilities as per Sunwest's Safety Management System manual.
