Permitting Engineer Co-Op/Intern

At Mosaic, we are seeking a Permitting Engineer Co-Op/Intern to support the Permitting Department in preparing land use permits for minerals and concentrates operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn from professional engineers, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to a global leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of permit applications, including working with subject matter expert consultants and legal counsel.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and collaborate with operations staff to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop scope of works, prepare requests for quotes and proposals, and evaluate bids with the Procurement team.
  • Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, and contractors.
Requirements:
  • Sophomore level or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Biology, or Environmental policy or sciences.
  • Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with an industrial environment.
