Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Home Care Nurse in the Durham Region. As a Home Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, helping them to maintain their independence and live well in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and assist clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including hygiene assistance, bathing, and medication administration.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Assist clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required.
- Observe and record client medical health, physical, and mental responses.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Experience in complex care, including tracheostomy suctioning, ventilators, G and J tube feeding, bi-pap or C-pap, cough assist, and oxygenation.
- Valid TB test, CPR/First Aid certification, and WHMIS certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (an asset).
- Competitive hourly rates ranging from $32.25-$49.25.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
