The drilling operations involve collecting measurements, information, and samples that inform stakeholders about the nature and properties of soils, rock, and groundwater. This critical information is essential for engineers, architects, contractors, and operators to make informed decisions.
We are seeking a skilled Driller to join our team in Quebec City. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical and environmental drilling, supporting team members during operations, and maintaining and repairing drilling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare drilling work and equipment;
- Conduct geotechnical and environmental drilling;
- Support other team members during drilling operations;
- Collect soil samples;
- Maintain and repair drilling equipment;
- Clean equipment;
- Safely transport and handle drilling machines;
- Install observation wells in boreholes;
- Supply equipment for drilling observation wells;
- Produce daily reports and timesheets;
- Keep an electronic log book for travel;
- Promote and implement occupational health and safety prevention programs.
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in drilling;
- DEP in diamond drilling or drilling and blasting (asset);
- Experience in mechanics and hydraulics (asset);
- Ability to weld (asset);
- Hold a valid driver's license;
- ASP Construction card (asset);
- Be punctual, serious, and open to learning;
- Be in good physical condition and enjoy working outdoors;
- Good teamwork skills.
