Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team at Quadra. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks within the Tax Department, including overseeing indirect taxes in Canada and the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Collaborate with the Tax Manager regarding the indirect tax function for US and Canadian operations.
  
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations for sales/use and business licenses in all states and provinces.
  
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax returns for various states and jurisdictions.
  
• Maintain and utilize various taxing systems, resolving tax notices promptly.
  
• Provide guidance on tax-related transactions, such as sales to customers and purchases of various items.
  
• Handle taxing requirements for all customers, maintaining proper documentation for exempt customers.
  

Requirements and Skills:

• 
  
• DEC with a focus in business administration, accounting, or a related area of study is preferred.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, sales tax role, or related field.
  
• Strong technical skills and ability to learn new computer systems (SAP or Oracle/JD Edwards environment).
  
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate easily on the phone.
  
• Must be fully bilingual with an expert level in English.
  
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel for handling data and documentation.
  
• Excellent organizational and collaborative skills.
