About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tutor to join our team at Dundas West Runnymede Kumon. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Learning Support: Provide one-on-one tutoring assistance to students in elementary school subjects, helping them to understand and master new concepts and skills.
  • Teaching Materials Development: Develop and create engaging teaching materials and resources to support program delivery and student learning.
  • Student Support: Answer inquiries and provide support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Experience in teaching or tutoring is an asset.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Area of Work Experience: Teaching and education.
  • Experience with Special Needs Children: Experience working with children with learning disabilities, ADHD, or ADD.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, and a team player.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
