Job Summary:

As a Retail Lead at Bass Pro Shops, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of a retail store department. Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing supervision and leadership to team members, delegating tasks, and ensuring the growth and development of your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to team members, working in partnership with the manager to achieve departmental goals.
  • Delegate tasks and assignments to team members, providing clear direction and following up to ensure proper execution.
  • Foster the growth and development of team members through training and coaching.
  • Ensure team members adhere to standard operating procedures and systems processes, providing correction and guidance when needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the department, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based on analysis.
  • Promote company programs to team members and customers, highlighting the benefits and value of our products and services.
  • Maintain visual presentation standards, including in-store signage, merchandise recovery, and sales floor maintenance.
  • Respond to and resolve customer issues using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
  • Assist in other areas of the store as needed, supporting the team and achieving business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
  • Open availability, including working store opening and closing shifts, as well as weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on analysis.
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to use good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions.
  • Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset.
