Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Movement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in coordinating transportation schedules, managing shipments, and ensuring smooth operations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the transportation of freight, including scheduling shipments and tracking movements

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and documentation
  • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings or optimization
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in logistics operations
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education or at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or transportation management is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, carriers, and clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management systems (TMS) is an asset
